Brandon Nimmo's Return Pushed Back
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo's (finger) return has been pushed back to give him more rehab at-bats. Nimmo will stay with Triple-A Syracuse for "a couple of more games" and could rejoin the team this weekend, according to manager Luis Rojas. Fantasy managers will have to wait a few more days after it was reported over the weekend that he could return from the injured list as early as Tuesday. It'll give you some more time to pick him up off the waiver wire if he's still somehow available. Nimmo hasn't played since early May due to a left index finger injury, but he should be owned in at least all leagues that count on-base percentage. The 28-year-old was slashing a nice .318/.430/.439 with a homer and eight RBI in 21 games before the injury struck. Kevin Pillar and Albert Almora Jr. have been sharing time in center field of late with Nimmo still out.
