Brandon Marsh Hits Walk-Off Single
Brandon Marsh hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 11th inning to send the Phillies to a 4-3 win over the Cubs on Monday. He actually entered the game as a pinch hitter initially, and collected two singles in his three at-bats. While it'll go down as a single on the stat sheets, the ball was a rocket to the warning track that would have been a double if it hadn't won the game. Hopefully this is the spark that the 27-year-old needed to get going, as he's slashed just .228/.331/.325 on the season. The one silver lining of his profile has been a 13.4% walk rate, which has kept his on-base percentage manageable during the slump.
