Brandon Crawford Cramped Up Friday Night
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler said that shortstop Brandon Crawford (hamstring) suffered a left hamstring cramp in Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Crawford left the game early, but the good news for fantasy managers is that this doesn't sound like a serious injury situation. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-4 in the contest before leaving in the eighth inning, and he's hitting a nice .289/.363/.552 with 18 home runs, 49 runs scored, 58 RBI and seven stolen bases in 306 plate appearances on the season. Crawford is an All-Star this year and needs to remain in all starting lineups going forward, but make sure to check that he's in the starting lineup on Saturday. There's a good chance the Giants will rest him.
