Bills Defense Looking to Make Impact
6 years agoIt is becoming apparent that any success the Buffalo Bills will have this year will be driven by an improving defense. Second-year defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will have a very athletic secondary yet again, but he will also have some new faces looking to improve on what was already a pretty good defense. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei went as far as saying: "I think we can be one of the best defenses in the league. We can be tops in every category. I believe that. We’ve got the guys to do it and we have the heart and the effort. That’s all you can ask for, a bunch of guys who buy in, are intelligent and give great effort. We have the talent, so I think we have everything to be a top two defense in this league." Granted, this is quite the statement and it is sometimes commonplace for optimism to really show itself early on, but you have to admire the commitment and enthusiasm. Kyle Williams (knee) will be a game-time decision and defensive end Trent Murphy is said to be healthy now. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds makes his official debut. The Bills probably won't be drafted in standard-sized leagues, but they could be worth a snag off the waiver wire when bye weeks start.
