Bengals To Focus On Signing Joe Burrow Long-Term
2 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had his fifth-year option exercised by the team on Tuesday. He will now make nearly $30 million guaranteed in 2024. However, Cincy will continue to work on a long-term deal with the 2020 No. 1 overall pick. It's no secret Cincinnati is also hoping to secure new contracts for Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. But things may be at a standstill until the organization reaches a new agreement with its franchise signal-caller. Burrow has been stellar in his three seasons, throwing for 11,774 yards, 82 touchdowns, and 31 picks while completing 68.2% of his throws. He also led the Bengals to consecutive AFC Championship appearances, with Cincinnati narrowly losing to the Rams in Super Bowl LVI. Without question, the 26-year-old is one of the best in the league and will be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in fantasy drafts heading into the 2023-24 campaign.
