Ben Simmons Scores Career-High 32 Points in Win
7 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard/forward Ben Simmons had a career night in Chicago, finishing with 32 points on 13-for-18 shooting while making six of his 11 attempts from the line, including the game-winning free throws with five seconds left in the fourth quarter. Simmons put up an all-around gem in this one, adding seven rebounds and a game-high 11 assists in the contest. He was effective on the other end of the floor as well, picking up both a block and a steal while being more careful with the ball than his owners are used to, as he committed just two turnovers in his 34 minutes. The Aussie may have returned from his snub over All-Star weekend with a chip on his shoulder and could be gearing up for a strong finish to his rookie campaign. The Sixers will host the lottery-bound Magic in Philly on Saturday, and Simmons will look to continue his stellar play.
