3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) said he expects to play on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos. "It's my decision. I get to say whether I play or not and that's just how it is," Mayfield said. Mayfield aggravated his left shoulder injury in the Week 6 blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He's getting a second opinion on the injury, but it's not expected to need surgery. It wouldn't be a surprise if Mayfield doesn't practice at all leading up to Thursday's game. The 26-year-old is as tough as they come, but he's likely to be without both running backs Nick Chubb (calf) and Kareem Hunt (calf) and possibly even wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) in Week 7. Already a low-ceiling fantasy commodity in this run-first offense, Mayfield is trending down as a low-end QB2 this week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
