New York Jets linebacker Avery Williamson (knee) will undergo season-ending surgery after he tore the ACL in his right knee on Thursday in a preseason game against the Falcons, according to a source. Williamson had been one of the team's most consistent and durable players and played middle linebacker in 2018, accumulating 80 tackles, three sacks and one interception. He signed a three-year, $22.5 million contract in 2018. Williamson started all 16 games last year and missed only five defensive snaps, so his loss is a big one for Gang Green's D. Neville Hewitt and Anthony Wint are the top candidates to replace Williamson next to C.J. Mosley. New York's defense/special teams can be avoided in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
