Anton Khudobin Drops 3-1 Matinee To Chicago
7 years agoBoston Bruins goaltender Anton Khudobin stopped 36 shots but allowed two goals late in the third period in a 3-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon. Khudobin had looked great through the first 55 minutes of the game, allowing just one goal in the first period while the Bruins were killing a penalty. The Bruins offense managed to tie the game halfway through the third period before allowing another power-play goal to Chicago forward Patrick Kane with just over three minutes to go. Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook sealed the deal with a snap shot roughly two minutes later. Khudobin continues to show that he is a solid fantasy option, even though he is Boston’s No. 2 goaltender behind Tuukka Rask. With the large amount of games remaining in the season and the Bruins maintaining their grasp on second place in the Atlantic, you can expect Rask to receive more rest and Khudobin to earn more starts. Khudobin now maintains a 15-4-4 record with a 2.45 goals-against average and .918 save percentage this season.
