Anthony Rendon Returns On Monday
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (elbow) is back at third base and is batting fifth for the Halos on Monday against the Kansas City Royals and veteran right-hander Seth Lugo at Kauffman Stadium. Rendon was hit by a pitch on Friday and missed the contests on both Saturday and Sunday, but he's back in there to start a new week. The 34-year-old veteran has hit .400 with a 1.033 OPS and two RBI in 15 career at-bats against Lugo, but that's probably not enough to sway DFS managers to put him into their lineups. The former first-rounder by the Washington Nationals in 2011 out of Rice is still searching for his first home run of the 2024 campaign and has just six RBI and five stolen bases in 153 at-bats when he's been healthy enough to play. Since returning from his latest injured-list stint on Aug. 7, Rendon has actually gone 7-for-25 (.280) with a double.
