Anthony Rendon Not In Friday's Lineup
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (wrist) is not in the team's starting lineup on Friday against the Kansas City Royals. It shouldn't come as a big surprise after Rendon left Thursday's game early against the Texas Rangers after being hit in the wrist by a pitch. The good news is that tests came back negative for broken bones, so fantasy managers should consider the 33-year-old day-to-day. Rendon continues to be a disappointment offensively in his time with the Angels, as he's currently hitting .248 (33-for-133) with six doubles, a home runs, 21 RBI and 22 runs scored in 38 games played. Luis Rengifo will take over for Rendon at third base on Friday, and he's hitting eighth in the order against Royals right-hander Brady Singer.
