Amari Cooper Has Bruised Ribs
3 years agoDallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday that wide receiver Amari Cooper (ribs) is dealing with bruised ribs. The Cowboys will re-evaluate him on Wednesday. Cooper was injured in the Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. It explains why he had such a quiet day, catching three of his five targets for only 24 yards. The good news is the 27-year-old pass-catcher will have an extra day to heal up before a Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, but he could also draw a questionable tag, which would make him an extremely risky weekly starter in fantasy. With Michael Gallup (calf) on Injured Reserve, second-year wideout CeeDee Lamb would get as many targets as he can handle against Philly if Cooper is ruled out. Cedrick Wilson could also be attractive as a flex in deeper leagues.
