9/13:Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon has had another forgettable season overall, but he's trying to salvage it right at the end. Though Gordon is hitting just .239 on the year with 11 home runs, he's apparently decided that he's going to at least bring a little speed to the table to finish it out. As of July 31, Alex Gordon had four stolen bases on the season. By successfully stealing one on Wednesday, Gordon has now raised his season total to 12. Gordon's newfound aggressive approach to baserunning seems to coalesce with the team's other speedsters like Whit Merrifield (leading the AL in stolen bases with 35) and Adalberto Mondesi (22 in 211 plate appearances). Gordon could be a valuable last-minute play for an owner in a deep league desperate for a couple steals.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
