Alejandro Kirk on Track to Return on Sunday
Alejandro Kirk (concussion) is tentatively on track to play in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, which puts him on track to be activated from the seven-day injured list on Sunday if all goes well over the next few games, per MLB.com's Keegan Matheson. A foul tip to Kirk's mask last weekend ended up giving him a minor concussion, but he's made good progress and could rejoin Toronto's lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals. Ali Sanchez got the start for Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles, but Tyler Heineman has seen most of the playing time behind the dish with Kirk out. Kirk made the All-Star squad for the second time in his career this year and will be returning to a strong .304/.361/.413 slash line. He doesn't have much power, but fantasy managers aren't complaining at the weak catching spot.
