Adley Rutschman Resting Saturday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles rookie catcher Adley Rutschman is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians. Rutschman went hitless in eight at-bats with four strikeouts in his last two games, so he'll get a day to rest. The former first overall pick has struggled a bit in his first 12 major league games, going 7-for-47 (.149) with no homers, no RBI, four walks and 14 strikeouts. The 24-year-old switch-hitting catcher should eventually figure things out, but fantasy managers might need to display some patience until then. With Rutschman out Saturday, Robinson Chirinos is catching and batting eighth against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie. Chirinos has gone 13-for-95 (.137) with two homers and 10 RBI on the year and isn't a great DFS choice.
