Adley Rutschman Given A Breather Sunday
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman is taking the day off on Sunday against the visiting Seattle Mariners. Rutschman had started each of the last 10 games, but it's a good time for a day off for him after he went hitless in 14 at-bats over the last four contests. With the young backstop starting on the bench, Anthony Bemboom will do the catching for Baltimore on Sunday and will hit in the nine-hole against Mariners right-hander George Kirby. The 25-year-old switch-hitting Rutschman is hitting .265 (73-for-275) on the season as a whole with 10 home runs, 11 doubles, 32 RBI and 36 runs scored in 327 plate appearances and 73 games in just his second big-league season. He should be in starting fantasy lineups on a regular basis when he's in the O's lineup.
