Adley Rutschman Given A Breather Sunday
10 months agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman is taking the day off on Sunday against the visiting Seattle Mariners. Rutschman had started each of the last 10 games, but it's a good time for a day off for him after he went hitless in 14 at-bats over the last four contests. With the young backstop starting on the bench, Anthony Bemboom will do the catching for Baltimore on Sunday and will hit in the nine-hole against Mariners right-hander George Kirby. The 25-year-old switch-hitting Rutschman is hitting .265 (73-for-275) on the season as a whole with 10 home runs, 11 doubles, 32 RBI and 36 runs scored in 327 plate appearances and 73 games in just his second big-league season. He should be in starting fantasy lineups on a regular basis when he's in the O's lineup.
