Adam Thielen Officially Ruled Out This Week
3 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings officially ruled out wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) for Thursday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thielen suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 13 loss to the Detroit Lions and could easily miss more time beyond this week. Fantasy managers need to prepare for that possibility with the fantasy postseason beginning next week in many leagues. With Thielen out, wide receiver Justin Jefferson will have an even higher ceiling, while K.J. Osborn becomes a hot waiver-wire pickup this week after scoring his third touchdown of the year last Sunday. Tight end Tyler Conklin should see more looks as well and becomes more attractive as a low-end TE1. Dede Westbrook should serve as the Vikes No. 3 receiver.
