4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers agreed with Indianapolis Colts free-agent defensive back Tavon Wilson on an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to a source. Wilson spent the early portion of his career with the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots. Tarvarius Moore showed some encouraging signs last year for San Francisco, but the Niners had little safety depth otherwise behind Jimmie Ward. Wilson played in a limited role for the Colts last year (just over 200 snaps), but he was a starter for the Lions in 2019. The 31-year-old is likely to serve as depth for San Francisco's secondary behind Moore in 2021.
