NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/09

Good Evening and welcome back! Last night was a quick and quiet night with every match going according to plan. Tonight we have a few matchups who are all worth targeting, but each team is coming into the second half of a back-to-back. Those that are playing in back-to-back matches are the LA Kings and Florida Panthers.

Vegas Odds for the Day

Players Out

Nikolaj Ehlers - W - Winnipeg Jets

Mark Scheifele - C - Winnipeg Jets

Christian Dvorak - C - Montreal Canadiens

Players Expected Back

NHL DFS Goalies

John Gibson- DK $7.1K || FD $6.8K

Opponent - Vancouver Canucks

There are a few great matchups tonight, but they are all playing on the second half of a back-to-back. This leaves us with Gibson who is playing against the hapless Canucks offense, albeit them putting up six goals on Dallas a few days ago. The Ducks have been one of the surprises so far this season and Gibson continues to carry them time and time again. For bottom-of-the-barrel pricing, it could be much much worse.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Swayman(DK $8.6K || FD $7.9K), Knight(DK $8.2K || FD $8.6K), Jarry(DK $7.7K || FD $7.7K), Peterson(DK $7.4K || FD $7K)

NHL DFS Centers

Anze Kopitar-DK $7.6K || FD $8.3K

Opponent - Montreal Canadiens

Kopitar has been lights out so far this season and it is certainly not the first time I have mentioned him nor the last time I will mention him. The center has a 7-7-14 line through 11 games and he has already dazzled Montreal once, posting two assists in their first meeting this season. After Kopitar managed Austin Matthews and John Tavares in a 5-1 win last night, he should be able to make waves against the underwhelming Canadiens.

Kirby Dach- DK $4K || FD $5K

Opponent - Pittsburgh Penguins

There is not much in terms of value at center tonight, which leaves us the boom-or-bust Dachinator. Dach has moved all over Chicago’s lineup this season, however, with old bench boss Colliton out of the Windy City, Dach has been reunited with linemates Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane. Even playing against a somewhat stingy Penguins defense, Dach does not need much to hit value and having two talented wingers on his line helps his chances.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): McDavid(DK $9.2K || FD $9.9K), Bergeron(DK $7.4K || FD $7.1K), Lindholm(DK $6.9K || FD $7.6K), Carter(DK $6.3|| FD $6.1K), Coyle(DK $4.3K || FD $4.1K)

NHL DFS Wings

Wings

Bryan Rust- DK $5K || FD $6.4K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

This is an absolute crime that this man is now priced higher. In his only three appearances this season, he is averaging over 4.0 shots per game and he has a 1-2-3 line. After Rust sat out a handful of games due to a lower-body injury, he shined in his return. Right now the Blackhawks are giving up the second-worst goals against in the league (3.68). This has to be a lock for the night.

Adrian Kempe- DK $3.6K || FD $4.5K

Opponent - Montreal Canadiens

Sorry Canadien fans, but we are here to target your team once more. Kempe is an army swiss knife for the Kings and he can play just about anywhere in the lineup. However, with Viktor Arvidsson out, Kempe has been reunited with teammate Anze Kopitar. In his three appearances back on the top-line thus far he is sporting a generous 2-2-4 line along with 11 shots.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Draisaitl(DK $ 9.1K || FD $9.8K), Marchand(DK $ 7.4K || FD $9K), Gaudreau(DK $ 5.3K || FD $7K), Hall(DK $5.2K || FD $5.8K), Duclair(DK $4.1K || FD $6K), Athanasiou(DK $3K || FD $3.4K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Defense

Brent Burns- DK $7.5K || FD $5.7K

Opponent - Calgary Flames

San Jose continues to struggle in terms of generating offense and one of the only consistencies on the team is their veteran defender. Without Erik Karlsson, Burns has taken every opportunity he can and through 11 games this season he has only seen single digits in fantasy points twice. Burns is averaging over 4.0 shots per game and he is repping a solid 1-8-9 line.

Juuso Riikola- DK $2.5K || FD $3.5K

Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks

There are not many great spots for defenders tonight besides paying up for the top end. However, Riikola has been turning heads in Pittsburgh as of late and he has been rewarded with power-play time because of it. At the bottom of the pricing spectrum against a leaky defense, you cannot go wrong here.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Pietrangelo(DK $7.3K || FD $6.3K), Nurse(DK $6K || FD $5.7K), Seider(DK $5.3K || FD $4.2K), Ekman-Larrson(DK $4.6K || FD $4.3K), Clague(DK $3.3K || FD $3.8K)
