Brandon's FanDuel and DraftKings GPP value plays for NFL DFS lineups in Week 13. Target these cheaper options as daily fantasy football tournament sleepers.
It was yet another odd week in terms of scoring across the DFS slate. The top of the leaderboard among quarterbacks was filled with players that are generally QB2s weekly. Ryan Tannehill, Sam Darnold, and Ryan Fitzpatrick all took plus matchups and excelled in a big way. The money saved on these players as you built a lineup easily set you up for success in GPP play. But as for the RBs on the week, it was another week of mixed results. We saw only four backs find the end-zone on multiple occasions (Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram). Otherwise, most backs on the week were scoring in the 10-15 FP range on the week. Which typically does not breed high-scoring lineups in these contests. Looking at the receivers for the week, you had the big performances from Chris Godwin, Jarvis Landry, and D.J. Moore. But past that, you found quality scoring throughout the Top 30 players at the position on the week.
That speaks volumes as we prepare to build lineups for Week 13. The players that you will be exposed to will be limited with three games on Thanksgiving. It becomes more imperative to identify the plus matchups and hit on the players that you spend money on at the top of the price range. But with a number of the upper echelon players looking at great matchups, it is the deep dive players that will be winning you money in GPP play for Week13. With injuries playing a role in players missing time or being on snap counts, hitting on a player that is cheap but stepping into an expanded role is what gives some fantasy owners a leg up on the competition. Don't be afraid to take some risks as you build your roster in some of these contests. Because merely going with the chalk plays may keep you around the money line, but at the end of the day it keeps you from winning the big bucks.

Quarterback DFS Value Picks for GPPs
Jared Goff @ Arizona Cardinals ($7,900 FanDuel, $6,000 DraftKings)
There has been a lot of negative talk surrounding Goff and this Rams offense over the last few games. Goff has been held without a passing touchdown in each of the last three games. The offense has looked sluggish and out of sync as of late. But all of that could be fixed with a solid matchup against a Cardinals secondary that is currently the worst in the league in points allowed to QBs (25.2 FPPG).
Goff must get out to a quick start in this game and I believe he will do just that. This has all the makings of a potential shootout, giving the Rams plenty of opportunities to score. Don't be surprised if Goff breaks out of his funk here to the tune of a three-score game, placing him solidly as a Top 10 play on the week. He will be a cheap option in DFS, and with the sour taste surrounding the team, he may also go overlooked. Giving you a great option at QB in Week 13.
Running Back DFS Value Picks for GPPs
LeSean McCoy vs. Oakland Raiders ($5,800 FanDuel, $4,800 DraftKings)
Coming out of the bye week, Damien Williams is still nursing an injury and missing from practice. With the likelihood that he misses yet another game, that only increases the workload for McCoy in a plus matchup against a Raiders Defense that currently allows 19.3 FPPG to opposing RBs. Coming off of a game in which he received six targets in the passing game, McCoy could prove to have a solid floor in DFS for Week 13. The Chiefs should also maintain a lead for most of the game, which could see him getting plenty of touches this week. If McCoy gets around 15 touches, he is almost certain to push to finish as an RB2 and a very low-owned and cheap play in GPPs.
Update: Damien Williams has officially been ruled out.
Jay Ajayi @ Miami Dolphins ($4,800 FanDuel, $3,000 DraftKings)
Based on the matchup, many fantasy owners will be looking to play Miles Sanders this week in their lineups. But the contrarian play of Jay Ajayi could be a cash winning move in Week 13. Sure, he only saw six carries in his season debut a week ago, but the team is likely working him into a more expanded role. Why not this week? The matchup is there to take advantage of against a Dolphins Defense that is bottom five in points allowed to the position (23.0 FPPG). If the Eagles to get out to a lead and maintain it, the second half could see a nice amount of touches for Ajayi and the potential to score against his former team. He makes for an intriguing option to plugin as your Flex as you spend up on other players in your lineup for Week 13.
Wide Receiver DFS Value Picks for GPPs
Chris Conley vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($6,000 FanDuel, $4,500 DraftKings)
He may not be blowing fantasy owners away with his statistical output over the last three games, but Conley has been very much involved in the Jaguars passing attack. He has 39 targets over the last five games but only one touchdown over that span. But in Week 13 he has a very juicy matchup against a Buccaneers Defense that is the worst in the league in points allowed to the position (31.7 FPPG). This game could work itself into a potential shootout which will allow for yet another high target game for Conley. He could easily finish the week as a Top 25 option if he finds the end-zone and will be a player that will be forgotten in DFS lineups. Sneak him into as a WR3 option at a very reasonable price.
Jakobi Meyers @ Houston Texans ($5,100 FanDuel, $3,300 DraftKings)
Meyers will be a very intriguing play in Week 13. The matchup is there to take advantage of. The Texans are a bottom-third defense in points allowed to opposing receivers (24.0 FPPG). But Meyers upside will be directly tied to the depth of the Patriots receiving core. With the team expected to be thin yet again at the position, Meyers could see a high target game come his way in this one. Seeing him haul in six catches for 90 yards and a score is not out of the realm of possibility in Week 13. Making in a solid play as a WR3 in GPPs and a player that should be a low-owned option at a great price.
Tight End DFS Value Picks for GPPs
Noah Fant vs. Los Angeles Chargers ($5,100 FanDuel, $,3,700 DraftKings)
Since the Broncos made the switch to Brandon Allen at QB, it seems as though the team has tried to include Fant more into the offensive gameplan. The targets have been there (28 over the last four games) but the production has yet to come around. That could be a bit different in Week 13 as he is set up with a solid matchup against a Chargers Defense that has been middle of the road in points allowed on the season (6.7 FPPG). Don't be shocked to see Fant find the end-zone in this game, making him a very sneaky play at the position in DFS.
