NBA DFS Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Thunder vs Warriors Thursday Night Showdown

Josh Giddey - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

Koby's top NBA DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Thunder vs. Warriors showdown slate on 11/16/2023. His Thursday Night NBA showdown advice.

Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! Welcome back to our weekly showdown. Last week, we nailed the Dejounte Murray fade but not having any Jalen Suggs is what killed us. I thought with Markelle Fultz being back in the lineup it would end up hurting all the value when it came to the guards. Unfortunately, that was not the case and it ended up killing every single lineup I made along with mediocre games from Paolo and Franz. This time around we get an interesting slate as we have the Thunder taking on the Warriors. The Warriors may be without Steph and Draymond after being suspended due to last game's choking of Rudy Gobert.

I absolutely love playing the NBA showdowns daily, it has become one of my favorite forms of DFS. There is nothing more thrilling than having a lineup consisting of players from one game and sweating it out while watching it live. There is a lot less room for error though with there being fewer options to choose from. Hopefully, with all the advanced stats I will be able to bring you the best analysis possible and get you some extra cash for the weekend ahead. So strap in as the season is just beginning and we will be here all year long. We might be digging deep into this slate with lots of potential value on the side of the Warriors.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy basketball picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Thunder vs. Warriors NBA DFS showdown slate on November 16. These NBA DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter/X @DFSKoby and please feel free to ask any questions about upcoming slates as I'm happy to answer any DMs or in our Rotoballer Discord!

MVP/Captain Plays

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG, $16,500 (DK), $17,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Avg. Season Stats: 29.4 points, 6.0 assists, 7.0 rebounds with 2.1 steals and 0.8 blocks a game

SGA has become one of the premier guards in the league and he will be easily over 90% owned. He has had one game where he scored less than 45 fantasy points in a game and it was against an always tough Denver team. Golden State gives up the tenth most fantasy points to PGs in the league and will be a must-have in all lineups. His average of 54 fantasy points is one of the highest in the league.

Chet Holmgren- PF/C, $12,000 (DK), $14,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Avg. Season Stats: 15.7 points, 2.6 assists, 7.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.2 blocks a game

I usually try and get one from each team, but with all the injury news it really could be anyone's game. On the other side though there is so many options on OKC to choose from. Chet has been great to start his rookie season and hasn't disappointed whatsoever. He has averaged over 36 fantasy points a game this season. A big part of his game is his ability to get blocks and steals where he averages a combined 3.2 a game. Those can be essential to boosting the fantasy points and we get a bit of a discount from SGA.

Other Captains/MVPs: Chris Paul, Josh Giddey

DFS Flex Plays

Dario Saric - PF/C, $5,800 (DK), $10,500 (FD)

He might come highly owned but I believe it's for good reason. Dario Saric steps into a big role where Draymond Green is out as well as Steph Curry. He stepped into a starting role as well in his last time out where he finished with 21 points and 35.8 fantasy points in 32 maps. On top of that the PF position seems to be one of the weaker points in the defense for the Thunder as they give up the sixth most fantasy points to the PF position. This also makes the likes of Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney interesting as well.

Jalen Williams - SF/PF, $6,600 (DK), $12,000 (FD)

This is more of a DK play as I love the price for Jalen Williams. We are getting a consistent starter who is averaging 28 fantasy points per game this season for a great price of 6.6k. He is a great shooter and as long as that shot is falling, he will also get some peripherals in the form of assists and rebounds. Keeping the turnovers down as well would be more than ideal.

Other Flex Options: Andrew Wiggins, Lu Dort, Kevon Looney

DFS Value Plays

Brandin Podziemski- PG/SG, $4,800 (DK), $9,500 (FD)

The rookie absolutely exploded onto the scene in his last game where he finished with 41 fantasy points across 39 minutes. Steve Kerr after the game said he has earned the minutes and will be in the rotation for upcoming games. With Curry being out this gives him a shot to continue to his hot streak. I don't expect quite as great of a performance but for his price on DK specifically, if we get anything around 25 or more I will consider that a win. He could even be put into a starting position but I would count more on a backup PG role.

Cason Wallace- C, $4,600 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

Value from the OKC isn't very easy to come by. I finally came down to Wallace and Jaylin Williams. Wallace's minutes are a bit more consistent and he is a higher PPM player. He has averaged about 16 fantasy points per game this season and is getting around 20-25 minutes per game. For those minutes I'll take a player who is this cheap. Cason is quite literally the definition of a boom-or-bust player. He could be risky but I think he could be in for a solid game.

Other Value Plays: Jonathan Kuminga, Jaylin Williams

Have a great night and let's make some cash!
