NASCAR Xfinity Series: DraftKings DFS Preview for Charlotte Roval Drive For The Cure 250 (10/12/24)

NASCAR XFINITY SERIES STOCK DFS PICKS

Justin Carter's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive For The Cure 250 at the Charlotte Roval. Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice and Xfinity sleepers.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Charlotte this weekend for a playoff race at the Roval. A.J. Allmendinger has won four of the last five Xfinity Series races here and also won the Cup race in 2023, so...well, there's your favorite, right?

This is the final race in the Round of 12. Four drivers will be eliminated from the playoffs following this race. Right now, Justin Allgaier, Shane Van Gisbergen, Sam Mayer, and Parker Kligerman occupy the elimination spots. Three of those drivers could easily go out and win on Saturday though, so anything can happen here.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Xfinity Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Xfinity DFS lineup picks for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Drive For The Cure 250 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Xfinity Series, including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. This slate locks on 10/12/24 at 4:08 p.m. EDT.

Note: This was written before qualifying. Feel free to ask me over on X if you have questions after qualifying.

A.J. Allmendinger ($10.2K)

While A.J. Allmendinger hasn't been the best road course racer in the Xfinity Series this year, he has his best chance to avoid a winless season on Saturday as he returns to a track that he's dominated.

The only reason Allmendinger doesn't have five consecutive wins here in Xfinity is that he was running in the Cup Series last season, but he went out and won that race. He's won from the pole. He's won from as deep as 22nd. He'll be a contender on Saturday.

Shane Van Gisbergen ($10.5K)

Allmendinger might be the King of the Roval, but Shane Van Gisbergen has been nearly unbeatable on road courses in 2024. His results this season at road courses are 27th at COTA, then wins at Portland, Sonoma, and Chicago, followed by a fifth at Watkins Glen.

Sam Mayer ($9.5K)

Allmendinger's reign as the Xfinity winner here ended last year. With Allmendinger not in the field, Sam Mayer dominated, leading 50 of the 67 laps to earn his third road course win of the 2023 season. He hasn't won at a road course yet this year, but it could easily happen on Saturday.

Mid-Tier Options

Cole Custer ($9.3K)

Since returning to the Xfinity Series full-time in 2023, Cole Custer has five wins. Two of those were at road courses last season. He also has a really good track record at the Roval in the Xfinity Series, posting three top 10s in three races here including a runner-up in 2023.

Sheldon Creed ($9.0K)

Last week at Talladega, Sheldon Creed finished fourth, earning his fourth consecutive top five. He isn't winning races, but no one is running more consistently right now. He has runner-up finishes at Sonoma and Watkins Glen so far.

Aric Almirola ($8.7K)

While he's not known as a great road course racer, Aric Almirola won Sonoma last season. He doesn't have a top 10 at this track in his six Cup Series starts, but his average finish here is a respectable 18.2 against the much-tougher competition in the Cup Series.

Chandler Smith ($8.2K)

Chandler Smith has had some bad luck on road courses, but he's still finished in the top 10 in six of his 13 career Xfinity starts on the track type. Three of those top 10s have come this season. He feels just a little bit underpriced this weekend considering how good he's been in 2024.

Value Options

Riley Herbst ($7.9K)

When NASCAR comes to a road course, Riley Herbst's DFS salary drops by about $1k. His average finish on this track type is just 18.7, but he earns a top 10 exactly one-third of the time. One of his best road course runs came in this race in 2023, as he finished fourth. He's also led laps here in 2020 and 2022.

Austin Green ($7.5K)

Austin Green has raced six times this season in this No. 32 car. Five of those were at road courses and his worst finish in those five races was 15th. That includes a pair of top 10s, with a best finish of fourth at Sonoma.

Ed Jones ($7.3K)

Ed Jones is back again for Sam Hunt Racing, running his fifth race of the season for the team. The results have been all over the place: 35th, fifth, 15th, and 24th. Those two top 15s are the reason I'm high on him as an upside value option this weekend.

Alex Labbe ($7.7K)

Alex Labbe has just one top 20 in three starts this season, but this No. 91 car should be the best equipment he's run since...well, since he finished 15th here in 2023 in this same car. Labbe is a talented road course racer who is finally back in equipment that he can sneak into the bottom half of the top 10 in, if things break right.

Sage Karam ($6.4K)

Sage Karam slides into the No. 07 car this week, his first start for SS-Greenlight Racing. Alex Labbe and Daniil Kvyat have had solid runs on road courses in this car this season. Karam had a top five last year at Road America when driving for Sam Hunt Racing.
