NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Kansas Heart of America 200 (5/14/22)

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to Kansas on Saturday night for the Heart of America 200.

John Hunter Nemechek is on the pole for this race. Qualifying was dominated by Toyota, which took five of the first six starting spots, though one of those will start from the back, as Bubba Wallace qualified the 52 for Stewart Friesen, who missed qualifying due to travel issues.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the Heart of America 200 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Truck Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. This slate locks on 5/14/2022 at 8:11 p.m. ET.

John Hunter Nemechek ($11,300) - Starting 1st

If we're searching for those laps led and fastest lap points, our search should begin with John Hunter Nemechek.

The polesitter for this race, Nemechek had the only lap over 176 miles per hour in qualifying.

He's run four Truck Series races at Kansas, with just one of those coming in this 4 truck. But even though three-quarters of his starts here were for NEMCO, he has three top fives. Last year, he led 16 laps at this track. He's also coming off of a win last race at Darlington.

Oh, and he's got an Xfinity Series win here from back in 2018 when he led 64 laps.

Ben Rhodes ($10,400) - Starting 15th

Rhodes offers some decent place differential points from the 15th starting position. He was fourth-fastest in practice and has had some decent results here, with four top 10s in his last five Kansas starts. He also led 25 laps here in 2017 before a blown engine knocked him from the race.

Probably not a threat to win based on his track record here, but should run inside the top 10 for most of the day. Wouldn't need to lead a ton of laps to return value like Zane Smith or Chandler Smith likely would need to.

Grant Enfinger ($9,900) - Starting 21st

Love this as a place differential play. Enfinger was 10th in practice but then didn't turn in a great qualifying lap so will fire off from 21st.

Enfinger has five top 10s in seven starts here. He finished 17th here last year, but that was in the 9 truck that he was driving on occasion. In quality equipment, his worst finish here is 11th, and he's finished third twice. This is a really enticing play that I'll likely have in a bunch of my lineups.

Austin Wayne Self ($6,800) - Starting 23rd

Qualifying went terribly for those of us who like value. So, we've got to make do with what we can.

Austin Wayne Self starts 23rd in a truck that isn't great, but that at least offers some more place differential upside than similarly priced drivers like Jack Wood, Colby Howard, Hailee Deegan and Dean Thompson. (Of those, Deegan is my top play if I wanted to pivot off Self.)

So, that's what Self is: a better play than the others in this price range. And since you probably need someone in this range to make your lineups work, then we'll go with him. He could finish around 15th, which would be a good day.

Tate Fogleman ($6,300) - Starting 35th

Love the place differential upside for Fogleman. He wasn't able to make a qualifying lap in the 30 truck, but as long as this truck is able to fire off the grid on Saturday night, Fogleman should move forward through this field. His average finish this season is 23.6 and at the closest comparable track to this one, Las Vegas, he finished 12th. Chalky play, but with the way this slate shaped up, you're just going to have to take the chalk.

Tyler Hill ($5,000) - Starting 33rd

It's a risk, but Hill is so cheap that pairing him and Fogleman allows you to get three expensive drivers.

Hill hasn't made a start yet this season, but in eight starts in 2021, he had an average finish of 21.6. And in 2020, his average finish in 12 races was 20.4.

This truck hasn't raced yet this season, but the other truck from this team, driven by Timmy Hill, has an average finish of 19.7.

If Tyler Hill's truck has the same kind of speed as Timmy Hill's truck, he should have a good run on Saturday.
