MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks for FanDuel (4/8/16)

Jason Bales's MLB DFS advice for FanDuel - daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 4/8/16. Cheat sheet of top value and sleeper plays for your FanDuel MLB lineups.

The Colorado Rockies are playing in Coors Field tonight against the San Diego Padres.

You know what to do. If you don't know what to do, read on.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/8/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Colorado Rockies

The Rockies are finally hitting in Coors Field tonight. Everyone should know the drill. Roster as many as possible.

San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres are also hitting in Coors Field tonight. Everyone should know the drill. Roster as many as possible because the away team is generally less expensive than the home team, and it will help to find the salary cap to roster the best pitcher (Jacob deGrom).

San Francisco Giants

It should be rather obvious that the San Francisco Giants make for a great stack tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers are pitching Ross Stripling, and the Giants have been hot so far this season. Do not make the mistake of overlooking them on the late slate tonight.

Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pirates are much more of a tournament stack tonight against Alfredo Simon and the Cincinnati Reds. The Pirates have not hit well so far this season, but they should be able to turn that around this series, as the Reds' pitching staff is rather poor.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Jacob deGrom

Jacob deGrom should be rather obvious, as he pitches against the Philadelphia Phillies today. The Phillies are one of the worst teams in the league, and deGrom is one of the best pitchers in the league. See how that works? Great! Roster him.

Luis Severino

Luis Severino is poised to have a great season for the New York Yankees this year. Today, he pitches against the Detroit Tigers, who definitely do not struggle to score runs, but may not be able to do so due to the talents that Severino possesses. Overall, he is not in the most ideal matchup position, but he has great upside, and the early slate barely has any solid pitching options that work with the Colorado Rockies' stack.

Matt Cain

Matt Cain gets a solid matchup tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have not looked great, aside from their great first game against the San Diego Padres. Cain used to be an elite pitcher. Those days are long gone, but he may show flashes this season as long as he stays healthy. He will want to start the season off with a bang in San Francisco.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Francisco Cervelli - Catcher (C)

Francisco Cervelli has been playing great of recent for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In fact, he is one of the only bright spots so far this season for the Pirates' offense. He has been scoring points on a consistent basis, which means that he is crushing value for his low price tag at the catcher position. Continue to use him until he cools down.

David Ortiz - First Base (1B)

David Ortiz just joined Ted Williams as only other player in MLB history to hit a home run in the first two games of a season after the ago of 40. What does that mean? Not much. If anything, it means that Big Papi still has a ton of power, which a five year old, blind child could probably see. Ortiz plays in Toronto tonight, so it makes a lot of sense to use him in tournaments. When he gets hot, he tends to stay hot for awhile.

Cory Spangenberg - Second Base (2B)

Cory Spangenberg gets a great matchup tonight against the Colorado Rockies. More importantly, he is playing in Coors Field, which is absolutely fantastic for hitters. Spangenberg hasn't been great so far this season, but finding a cheap, powerful second base option that is hitting in Coors Field is rare. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

Jean Segura - Shortstop (SS)

Jean Segura is playing extremely well for the Arizona Diamondbacks right now. He gets a solid matchup against the Chicago Cubs tonight. The Diamondbacks are going to have to score a ton of runs to keep pace with the best offense in the league. Segura will continue to lead the charge. Use him until he cools off, which may not happen.

Matt Duffy - Third Base (3B)

Speaking of very hot baseball players, Matt Duffy recently got his hair cut. All kidding aside, Duffy has been on fire to start the season. He gets a great matchup against Ross Stripling and the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight. The San Francisco Giants are going to score a ton of runs, and Duffy is in a great RBI position in the batting order.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Gregory Polanco

Gregory Polanco has been posting great numbers all season long for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has double-digit fantasy points in two of his first three games of the season, and he is hitting well over .400 with three RBIs. The Cincinnati Reds have a terrible pitching staff, so use Polanco all series long.

Gerardo Parra

Gerardo Parra is a lot better than what most people give him credit for. He is hitting .400 this season so far with over 20 fantasy points in one of his first three games. He has great speed and power, and tonight, he is hitting in Coors Field. Use him all series against the San Diego Padres.

Joey Rickard

Joey Rickard hit in the one hole last game for the Baltimore Orioles. He has been on fire to start the season, and moving him up in the lineup has only increased his fantasy potential. His price tag is a little bit higher than one would like, but he is still worth it in tournaments.
