Mavericks vs. Jazz NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks, Value Plays - Thursday, November 14

Kyrie Irving - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Fantasy Basketball Rankings

Mavericks vs. Jazz showdown slate NBA DFS lineup picks for Thursday November 14th, 2024. Koby's top FanDuel, DraftKings daily fantasy basketball value plays.

Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! Welcome back to our daily DFS picks! For tonight's game, we only have one game! The Dallas Mavericks travel to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz! This slate will be a bit different than our normal slate of games with it only being one game but I will walk you all through it and hopefully, we can take the slate down!

I love playing the NBA showdowns daily, it has become one of my favorite forms of DFS. Nothing is more thrilling than having a lineup consisting of players from one game and sweating it out while watching it live. There is a lot less room for error though with there being fewer options to choose from. Hopefully, with all the advanced stats, I will be able to bring you the best analysis possible and get you some extra cash for the weekend ahead.

I will provide you with daily fantasy basketball picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Mavericks vs. Jazz NBA DFS showdown slate on November 14. These NBA DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter/X @DFSKoby and please feel free to ask any questions about upcoming slates as I'm happy to answer any DMs or in our RotoBaller Discord!

MVP/Captain Plays

Luka Doncic- PG, $19.5K (DK) $16.5K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Avg. Season Stats: 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 8 assists with a combined 1.9 STOCK average.

Starting with the obvious one, Luka has been elite this season and is the top option on this slate. Utah is giving up the sixth most fantasy points to opposing PGs this season and finished with nearly a triple-double in their last meeting. That was also when he shot pretty poorly. I expect him to shoot much better and score extremely well on this slate.

Kyrie Irving- PG/SG, $15.6K(DK) $14.5K (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Avg. Season Stats: 25.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds with a combined 1.8 STOCK average
  1. Both guards from Dallas are likely the best options on this slate for our captain spot. In GPPs, Kyrie is a great option to get different and save a bit of cash. He has scored 20+ points in 8/11 games this season and has been great at getting the peripherals in assists and rebounds as well. Kyrie is averaging nearly 36 minutes a game this season.

Other Captains/MVPs: Lauri Markannen, John Collins

DFS Flex Plays

John Collins- PF/C, $8K (DK) $13K (FD)

John Collins was finally slotted into the starting rotation on Tuesday and it paid off big time. He finished with 57 FP and was a big reason Utah was able to keep it close against the Phoenix Suns. He played a season high in minutes as well and with Walker Kessler still out, I would expect John Collins to continue scoring extremely well.

Jordan Clarkson- PG/SG, $7K (DK) $11.5K (FD)

I think this whole slate relies on which PG/SG you choose between the three of Clarkson, Keyonte George, and Collin Sexton. They are all roughly 25-30 minute guys. I do recommend if you play multiple lineups though that you mix and match these three to get exposure to all of them.

Jordan is coming off two impressive performances scoring 33 and 39 FP. I believe his ability to come off the bench and run the second unit is a big part of his role. He also takes a lot of shots leading to his scoring being crucial in keeping the Jazz in these games.

Other Flex Options: Keyonte George, Collin Sexton, Dereck Lively

DFS Value Plays

Kyle Filipowski - PF/C, $4.8K (DK) $9K (FD)

Kyle has slipped his way into a solid bench threat. With Kessler down, Kyle has worked his way into seeing 20+ minutes a game and in that time he has done well. Over the last two games, he has been about a 1.2 FPPM player. He is a fantastic discount on DK and he will be heavily played.

Daniel Gafford - C, $6K (DK) $8.5K (FD)

Even though Dereck Lively is back, Gafford makes for an intriguing option. He still is starting with the first unit and with the Jazz giving up the most fantasy points to opposing centers this season it makes him even more favorable. He makes more sense on FD as he is quite a bit cheaper than Lively, but still is viable to play on DK.

Other Value Plays: Naji Marshall, Quentin Grimes

Have a great night and let's make some cash!
