Jordan Whittington fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Jordan Whittington for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/FLEX
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington was fantastic in the preseason, played every snap of the second half of the Cardinals game after Cooper Kupp's exit from injury, and was electrifying in the preseason. He's worth a speculative start in 12+ team PPR leagues.
Any Rams wide receiver is a risky start, unfortunately. The Rams will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 with an offensive line decimated by injury, and QB Matthew Stafford may struggle to find time to throw. While Whittington is a good bet to have high target numbers, it may be difficult for the offense to function.
Puka Nacua averaged 6.4 yards after the catch in 2023, the highest among wide receivers with 50 or more catches.

While "This Year's Puka Nacua" is a ridiculously overused statement, Whittington being talented as he is and playing out of the slot makes him valuable. Slot targets are more valuable than wide targets for fantasy scoring, and Whittington has taken over the "Cooper Kupp role".
If any Rams WR has a big game this weekend, it's likely to be Whittington. He's worth taking a chance on in your WR3/FLEX spot.
