J.K. Dobbins fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit J.K. Dobbins for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end RB2
ANALYSIS: J.K. Dobbins should be a strong start in deeper fantasy football leagues this week, particularly as a low-end RB2, as he faces a favorable matchup against the Panthers.
Dobbins had a standout performance in Week 1 for the Chargers, recording 10 carries for 135 yards and one touchdown, showcasing his explosive playmaking ability.
While he and Gus Edwards split carries for the team, Dobbins looked like the superior back, consistently breaking off significant gains and showing more burst and agility. The Panthers’ defense has struggled against the run in the past, making this matchup ideal for Dobbins to continue his momentum.
Although the timeshare with Edwards might raise concerns in standard formats, Dobbins’ efficiency and upside make him a strong option in deeper leagues where production per touch matters more.

The Chargers offense will likely control the tempo against a Panthers team with defensive vulnerabilities, giving Dobbins ample chances to exploit mismatches and find the end zone.
With his ability to produce even on limited carries and clear advantage over Edwards, Dobbins should be viewed as a low-end RB2 this week, especially in deeper formats.
