Jauan Jennings fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Jauan Jennings for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Jauan Jennings appears to be in the midst of a breakout campaign to start 2024. After not being a fantasy factor for his career to this point, Jennings torched the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns.
He had a quieter game in Week 4, catching just three passes on six targets for 88 yards. He made big plays, but to be consistently fantasy-relevant, his target numbers would need to improve. Additionally, with the return of WR Deebo Samuel Sr. and the presence of TE George Kittle, his offensive snaps went down to normal.
Jauan Jennings is on pace for 1,547 yards even though he has played only 61 percent of the 49ers’ offensive snaps this season.

He's been hyper-efficient with his production, and the entire 49ers offense has been a hallmark of efficiency. 49ers QB Brock Purdy has 9.3 yards per pass attempt, which is ridiculous. WR Brandon Aiyuk has also been struggling for whatever reason. He's been getting open well, but not getting thrown as many good passes.
Jennings is still the WR3 on an offense with Aiyuk, Samuel, and Kittle, so it will be tough for him to carve out enough of a consistent role to be fantasy-relevant. When Aiyuk hits his stride, which could be inevitable, there will be a lot of mouths to feed in SF. He's a risky start in leagues with 12 or fewer teams due to his low target volume in a fully healthy offense.
