Jameson Williams fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Jameson Williams for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2/FLEX
ANALYSIS: While Amon-Ra St. Brown was the clear no. 1 WR for the Detroit Lions in 2023, Jameson Williams has finally carved out a role. He struggled with drops last season and never got consistent opportunities, but he turned that around in Week 1, putting together a monster game with 24.4 PPR fantasy points.
Williams has blazing speed, and his Week 1 performance against the Rams was no fluke. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson finally figured out how to utilize his skillset to great effect. Jameson dominated the Rams, who were unable to find an answer for his skillset.

A player with this kind of speed is massively important in today's NFL. Most defenses have shifted to focus on taking away the big plays, so WRs who can generate explosive gains and long touchdowns are more valuable than ever. Williams is this guy for the Lions, and with consistent playing time, you can expect more performances like this.
Williams should be in your FLEX or WR2 slot for Week 2. He could be a boom-or-bust player going forward, but the week-winning upside is too great to ignore. Don't leave him on your bench.
