Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss was the 86th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft. Moss had an impressive college career, totaling 712 rushing attempts for 4,067 yards and 38 touchdowns in four years at Utah.

The former Ute had 112 rushing attempts for 481 yards and four touchdowns his rookie year. Unfortunately, his production has declined since his rookie season because of injuries. Moss has missed at least three games every year of his career.

However, the veteran running back was productive at the end of last year. The former Utah star averaged 17.3 rushing attempts for 83.5 yards and 10.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the final four weeks.

What Did Zack Moss Accomplish In Week 2?

Unfortunately, Moss suffered a broken arm during training camp. The injury cost him the entire preseason and Week 1. However, the former Utah star made his season debut in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.

Moss had 18 rushing attempts for 88 yards and a touchdown last week. He also had four receptions for 19 yards. The former Utah star was the RB10 in Week 2, scoring 18.7 fantasy points.

Is Zack Moss A Good Fantasy Football Pickup For Week 3?

Fantasy players should make Moss a top priority off the waiver wire this week. Only Jerome Ford is a more appealing waiver wire target at the running back position.

Last week, the veteran running back was the featured guy for the Colts. Moss played all but one of the offensive snaps. He also had all 18 rushing attempts and four targets from the backfield in Week 2.

However, Moss’ fantasy upside is limited by Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor. The rookie quarterback suffered a concussion against the Texans. Yet, he had two rushing touchdowns before leaving the game. If he plays this week, Moss’ upside at the goal line is severely limited.

Meanwhile, Taylor can come off the Physically Unable to Perform list after Week 4. Once he returns to the field, Moss’ fantasy value will tank. Fantasy players who need a long-term upside waiver wire running back target should prioritize Roschon Johnson and Ty Chandler over Moss.
