Homestead NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Bubba Wallace - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2025 Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Straight Talk Wireless 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 37-car field was split in to two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track. There was also a 10-minute break between the groups in order for the first Group to have time to switch over to qualifying trim.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Erik Jones - The No. 43 Toyota was fast in practice, but when interviewed after his group's session, Erik Jones mentioned that the team thought they ran over something on the track that made a hole in the bottom of the car. They will need to fix that and may not be able to qualify.

Ty Gibbs - After being completely out to lunch at Las Vegas last weekend, the No. 54 Toyota actually showed some long-run speed this week at Homestead! Ty Gibbs was specifically mentioned and noted by the announcer booth for having some of the best speed in his group on the long run.

Kyle Larson - As expected, Kyle Larson has a ton of speed this weekend. The No. 5 Chevrolet looked crazy fast on the long run, as Larson ranked fastest in 20-, 25-, and 30-lap average.
