Gus Edwards fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Gus Edwards for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 16+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards is coming off an 18-carry game in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers. However, Edwards totaled just 3.28 yards per carry and finished the contest with 59 rush yards. Now, he'll face a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 3.

Sign Up Now!Pittsburgh has allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points and the sixth-fewest yards per carry (3.7) to opposing running backs through the first two weeks. In Week 1, the Steelers held Bijan Robinson to 3.8 yards per carry on 18 carries, and last week, Javonte Williams rushed 11 times for 17 times (1.55 yards per carry). As a result, Edwards is a very touchdown-dependent option in fantasy this weekend.
Gus Edwards ranks dead last in yards after contact per attempt among RBs with 20+ carries this season. He's also the only running back in that group (of 31) without a forced missed tackle. @PFF

He should only be started in 16-plus team leagues in Week 3, especially with J.K. Dobbins also in Los Angeles' backfield. Edwards has played less than 50% of the team's offensive snaps in both games and remains a non-factor in the passing game. So, he is a riskier flex option on Sunday.
