GAIN ACCESSEdwards saw the slight lead in carries (11-to-10) compared to Dobbins but the latter stole the show as he ran for 135 yards and a score while Edwards was held to a modest 26 yards.

In addition, Edwards ran just five routes in the passing game and saw one target his way while Dobbins ran 17 routes and saw three targets.
While Edwards might be the "1B" option in this Chargers backfield, he has a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, which could bode well for his fantasy production.
The Chargers currently sit as 5.5-point favorites, which suggests that Edwards may have ample opportunities to run out the clock in a game where the Chargers are projected to have a lead throughout. In addition, Justin Herbert should be able to move the offense downfield easily against a weak Carolina defense, which could give Edwards some goal-line work.
The 29-year-old remains a high-floor RB3 option entering Week 2.
