George Pickens fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit George Pickens for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens has a juicy matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 2, but the quarterback situation in Pittsburgh complicates his outlook.
The Steelers are set to start Justin Fields at quarterback again this week. Fields has more fantasy upside on his own than quarterback Russell Wilson, but much of that value comes from his legs. The Steelers's pass catchers need Wilson to reach their potential.
George Pickens showed he can be a true #1 WR. He cooked a lockdown corner like AJ Terrell all game.

Or, most of them do. Pickens caught six of his seven targets for 85 yards last week and finished as the WR26, which would have been better if he hadn't lost 10 yards on his lone carry. He might be quarterback-proof at this point.
While I believe having Wilson at QB would help ensure Pickens is able to produce consistently, he's still a solid WR3 play in Week 2 because of his importance to this offense and his talent.
