FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 16 - Daily Fantasy Football

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 16 (Sunday) of the 2020 season, and some value sleepers for your daily fantasy football rosters.

Happy Holidays, everyone. While this is a beautiful time of year, it also marks the unfortunate last few weeks of regular-season NFL action. For those in fantasy football championships, good luck. For those who aren’t as fortunate, there is time to win some cash as there is still plenty of life left in the 2020 campaign, including the playoffs.

In Week 15, we saw Tony Pollard go nuts against the San Francisco 49ers to finish with nearly 30 fantasy points. While his DFS rostering price has increased, others may get extended run on Sunday to help balance out fantasy rosters, especially for those looking to spend big money to acquire the services of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill (if he plays), and Travis Kelce.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 16 (Sunday) daily fantasy football lineup picks on FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 16 Picks

Patrick Mahomes, QB - vs. ATL ($9,400)

Mahomes may be on his way to reclaiming the MVP award by putting together an impressive 2020 campaign. He has thrown 36 touchdowns on the year, and though he may not hit the 50 he threw in 2018, he has a good chance at finishing with the most in the league.

After a rough performance against the Dolphins Defense in Week 14, a game where Mahomes threw three interceptions, he bounced back decisively during the narrow win over the Saints last weekend by tossing it into the end zone three times. The Falcons Defense has been horrendous this season, and with the weather expected to be unseasonably warm in Kansas City on Sunday, the 25-year-old could make a solid anchor for any DFS lineup.

Jalen Hurts, QB - @ DAL ($8,200)

Carson Wentz’s days in Philadelphia may be over after head coach Doug Pederson decided to continue to roll with Hurts over the last few weeks. Since the rookie’s integration into the mix, he has thrown five touchdowns and 614 yards. He has also scrambled 34 times, accumulating 198 yards and a score in the process.

While Hurts’ DFS asking price has increased since Week 15, he still has the potential to exceed his value, especially against a Dallas squad that could have a bunch of players missing on the defensive side of the ball.

Also consider: Mitchell Trubisky ($7,200)

FanDuel Running Backs - Week 16 Picks

David Montgomery, RB - @ JAX ($7,800)

Montgomery has been on a tear toward the last half of the year. Over his previous four outings, he has scored at least 22.8 fantasy points. During that span, he has racked up 434 yards on the ground off of 71 attempts, hauled in 16 catches for 137 receiving yards, and found the end zone a total of six times.

He will have a favorable matchup against Jacksonville on Sunday, with the Jaguars Defense having difficulty stopping the run throughout the season. Montgomery's statistical output has been up there with some of the other studs in the DFS world, but his rostering cost certainly doesn't reflect it.

David Johnson, RB - vs. CIN ($6,700)

Duke Johnson injured his neck, and as a result, he will not play against a Bengals team that walloped the Steelers on Monday night. However, in his stead, Johnson should get an uptick in production on Sunday. Although that increase may not come on the ground as the duo of Buddy Howell and Scottie Phillips could gobble up some touches like they did last week, he could surely see a rise in looks.

While FanDuel isn’t as friendly to pass-catching backs that some other sites are, he may remain involved enough to make a considerable dent on the fantasy end, especially after hauling in all 11 of his targets for over 100 yards against a potent Colts Defense in Week 15.

Also consider: Austin Ekeler ($7,000), Melvin Gordon ($6,400), Le’Veon Bell ($6,400), J.K. Dobbins ($6,300), Tony Pollard ($6,300 - if Ezekiel Elliott is out), Darrell Henderson Jr. ($5,800)

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 16 Picks

Calvin Ridley, WR - @ KC ($8,700)

Julio Jones hasn’t played in weeks and will be out once again on Sunday against the mighty Chiefs. With the veteran out of the equation, Ridley will again be tasked with serving as the team’s official No. 1 option for Matt Ryan.

The 26-year-old has elevated his game as of late and is arguably having one of the most impressive stretches from a statistical standpoint. In his last three games in matchups against the Saints, Chargers, and Buccaneers, Ridley has been targeted 36 times, bringing in 23 of them for 395 yards and two scores. He will have a difficult challenge ahead in navigating his way past the Kansas City defense, but he should get enough action for fantasy managers to get some bang for their buck.

Tee Higgins, WR - @ HOU ($5,800)

Despite the unsettling idea that either Brandon Allen or Ryan Finley will be throwing, Higgins still has one of the clearest upsides in Week 16. Tyler Boyd was banged up and will sit out due to a concussion, so the rookie should get some extra attention.

He has been a serviceable fantasy option over the last few weeks and has seen 22 targets over his previous three contests. With Boyd out, his numbers could take a dramatic upswing against the Texans.

Also consider: Tyreek Hill ($9,400 - currently questionable), Jarvis Landry ($6,500), Cam Sims ($5,000)

FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 16 Picks

Travis Kelce, TE - vs. ATL ($8,800)

Kelce is not only the most consistent tight end in the league; he is also one of the most effective DFS options across the board. With the seesaw play of others at the position, putting some dough aside to afford his rostering cost is justified, primarily since he never seems to disappoint.

The veteran has caught at least eight passes in seven-straight games while also seeing at least 10 targets in six of his last seven. During that timeframe, Kelce has also racked up 817 yards and five touchdowns in addition to averaging 20.4 fantasy points per performance.

Also consider: Mark Andrews ($7,000)
