FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/6/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/6/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. We have a TON of injuries as the NBA features a massive nine-game slate to kick off the week. Kemba Walker, who has been ill, will once again be out, while D'Angelo Russell, who has missed his last three games, will also continue to sit as a result of a shoulder issue. Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to be plagued by a back issue but has still been able to play, nonetheless, and is considered probable on the road in San Antonio. Bradley Beal--along with a handful of Wizards' players--may be absent, which will open the door for some value guys to step up. Jamal Murray, Paul MillsapDeAndre Jordan, Jonathan Isaac, Nerlens Noel, Malcolm Brogdon, T.J. McConnell, John Collins, Jabari Parker, Mike Conley, Jrue Holiday, Lauri Markkanen, Kristaps Porzingis, Draymond Green, Marvin Bagley, Bogdan Bogdanovic, George Hill, and Dejounte Murray are the other guys who are listed on Monday's report as either out or are in danger of not playing.

From a Vegas standpoint, Milwaukee at San Antonio leads the way with a projected overall score of 229.5 points, which is followed by Utah at New Orleans at 223. Look for these two games to feature some of the highest-scoring players of the night.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/6/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Give me a follow on Twitter @Den_Clausen. Good luck and please check back later in the day for updates.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Jordan McRae - SG, vs. BOS ($5,600)

McRae should continue to receive plenty of chances to rack up some serious fantasy points if Bradley Beal isn't in the rotation against Boston. The 28-year-old has been making a lot of noise on the value end of things as of late and has hit at least 48 fantasy points in two of his last four games. His shooting is very shaky, and that is me being generous with my wording, but if he can get his shots to fall, the upside is fantastic. If Beal is indeed out, also don't forget about Ish Smith, who will still get some minutes even with Isaiah Thomas is in the mix.

Marcus Smart - SG, @ WAS ($4,900)

Smart will be one of the biggest beneficiaries with Kemba Walker out of the lineup on Monday night, receiving +4.8 in the plus/minus category to go along with a 2.4 percent bump in usage. His price took a hit after logging just 16.5 fantasy points against the Bulls on Saturday, but that was a day after he put up 49.7 fantasy points against the Hawks on Friday. Of course, there is always a chance that he plays like garbage, but at this price, I am more than willing to take my chances by having him in all of my DFS lineups against the worst defensive team in the entire association.

Also Consider: Luka Doncic ($11,600), Trae Young ($9,100), Spencer Dinwiddie ($7,800), De'Aaron Fox ($7,700), Jeremy Lamb ($5,700), Damion Lee ($5,600), Aaron Holiday ($5,600), Markelle Fultz ($5,100), Terrence Ross ($4,500), Josh Hart ($4,200), J.J. Redick ($4,100), Isaiah Thomas ($4,000), Seth Curry ($3,600), Garrison Mathews ($3,500)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Will Barton - SF, @ ATL ($6,600)

After dealing with a hip issue last year, Barton looks back on track this season. He had a rough night at the office against the Wizards on Saturday, but he went into that one averaging 36 fantasy points per game over his previous seven contests. The Hawks are the worst in the league at defending the small forward position and will get a nice bump if Jamal Murray doesn't play on Monday night.

Joe Ingles - SF, @ NOP ($5,400)

I don't understand Ingles' asking price, but I am more than happy to roll with him at that cost. He has at least 24.3 fantasy points in each of his last six games, while also producing at least 29.8 fantasy points 11 times since the beginning of December. Though Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball are high-caliber defenders, it hasn't translated to the fantasy realm as the Pelicans routinely give up a lot of fantasy points to both the one and the two on the year, with the two-position being where Ingles has played with Mike Conley out.

Also Consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,400), Domantas Sabonis ($9,300), Brandon Ingram ($8,400), Jayson Tatum ($7,900), Jaylen Brown ($6,900), Gordon Hayward ($6,400), Alec Burks ($6,000), Aaron Gordon ($5,700), Troy Brown ($5,700), Taurean Prince ($5,100), Joe Harris ($5,000), Daniel Theis ($4,300), Omari Spellman ($4,100), Eric Paschall ($3,500)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Myles Turner - C, @ CHA ($5,900)

Turner has played well recently, logging 30.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets and 27.2 fantasy points against the Hawks on Saturday night. At this price tag, he would need only 29.5 fantasy points to hit value, which is more than attainable against a Charlotte team that is allowing a league-worst 59.87 fantasy points per game to opposing big men. His stock will increase if T.J. McConnell, who is dealing with a sprained ankle, isn't able to suit up. Don't forget about Domantas Sabonis at the four-spot because Charlotte isn't doing much better in that area either.

Also Consider: Nikola Vucevic ($8,500), Dwight Powell ($5,700), Enes Kanter ($5,400), Ian Mahinmi ($4,800), Alex Len ($4,800), Jahlil Okafor ($3,500)
