BALLER MOVE: Stash in AL-Only Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: June
ANALYSIS: Chicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Drew Thorpe has been off to a great start to the season at Double-A and is worth stashing in AL-only leagues. Across 36 ⅓ innings with Double-A Birmingham, the 23-year-old has an excellent 1.73 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 33:11 K:BB ratio. Thorpe has allowed only three earned runs or more in one start this season and has posted three scoreless starts.

The former second-round pick posted very similar numbers in 30 ⅓ innings last season at the same level with a 1.48 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, and a 44:5 K:BB ratio. This is a great sign for fantasy managers as Thorpe as clearly adjusted to Double-A and is on the verge of receiving the call to move up to Triple-A.
With his strong start to the season, the number three prospect in the White Sox system has a path to make his major league debut later this summer. For now, he is worth stashing in AL-only formats but could become a must-stash once he reaches Triple-A.
