DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/10/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on September 10th, 2018. Adam Meyer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

With HOU/DET and LAD/CIN starting before 7:05pm EST, we only have 10 games to work with on the Monday night slate. While we only have one game that give us an over/under of at least nine total runs, it’s a big one as the Rockies host the Diamondbacks at Coors Field.

As far as pitching is concerned, only one team is a heavy favorite (Mets), but two games have an over/under of seven total runs: MIA/NYM and CLE/TB. Naturally, all the favorites in these contests are expensive. Don't worry, we'll have more affordable options for your DK lineup on Monday night.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/10/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @CharlieSideHstl.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Dereck Rodriguez, SF (vs. ATL) - $8,700

We are going against Vegas on this one, which is always a dangerous decision. The experts in Vegas give the slight edge to Atlanta (-115), but the over/under (7.5 total runs) is low enough to where you can take either pitcher and feel comfortable doing so. When you apply the recent history factor, Rodriguez has the edge, in our book. He’s allowed two earned runs, or less, in nine of the last 10 appearances for the Giants. He’s also tallied at least four strikeouts in seven of the past eight appearances. As for Sean Newcomb, he’s allowed at least five earned runs in three of the past five games.

Zack Godley, ARI (@ COL) - $6,400

Speaking of dangerous decisions, choosing a pitcher at Coors Field is rarely a good idea. However, with the price tag and ceiling Godley brings to the table, I’m willing to roll the dice. Godley has struck out at least six batters in 10 straight contests. On the down side, he’s also allowed at least four earned runs in three of the past four outings. Godley already had one start in Colorado earlier this season: 5.2 IP, 2 ER, and 8 K.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

C - Willson Contreras, CHC (vs. MIL) - $4,000

There’s no a lot of lefties in this 10-game slate on Monday night (five pitchers, to be exact), but there’s two in the MIL/CHC matchup. Contreras has a .214 ISO against southpaws since 2017, so he jumps off the page when looking for suitable backstops to fill our DraftKings lineup. Contreras has compiled an RBI in four consecutive starts and is batting .288 at home this season, with 11 doubles, four triples, and five home runs.

1B - Paul Goldschmidt, ARI (@ COL) - $5,300

This is where we’re spending the big bucks on Monday night. Not only is Goldy batting .364 (8-for-22) with two doubles, one triple, and two home runs (six walks) in the past week, but he also owns a .450 AVG (9-for-20) with six extra-base hits (four home runs) against German Marquez.

2B - Jonathan Schoop, MIL (@ CHC) - $3,700

Schoop smacked a grand slam on Sunday and will look to carry the momentum into Monday night’s matchup against Jon Lester. Schoop has a .216 ISO against lefties (third-best on Milwaukee). He’s also produced 10 RBI in the past four games.

3B - Kris Bryant, CHC (vs. MIL) - $4,300

Bryant isn’t having an MVP-type of season, but he’s a bargain at $4,300 in DFS. He leads the Cubs with a .277 ISO against lefties since 2017. Also, in a small sample size against Wade Miley, Bryant is 4-for-9 (.444). He also delivers at Wrigley Field. This season, Bryant is batting .278 at home, with 18 of his 40 hits going for extra-bases.

SS - Francisco Lindor, CLE ($5,200)

Another larger chunk of our salary is going towards Lindor. In the past week, Lindor is batting .303 (10-for-33) with five home runs. Since 2017, against righties, Lindor has a .243 ISO, which is third-best for Cleveland.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

A.J. Pollock, ARI (@ COL) - $4,300

Arizona is the underdog in the matchup between the Diamondbacks and Rockies, but the over/under is still enough to target both offenses. Arizona is projected to score 4.7 runs on Monday (third-most in the slate). Pollock also owns Marquez. In a small sample size, Pollock is 8-for-13 (.615) with two doubles against Marquez.

Ryan Braun, MIL (@ CHC) - $4,000

Braun has been heating up in the final month of the regular season. He’s batting .333 in September and went 5-for-14 (.357) with two doubles and one home runs (six walks) in the past seven days. Braun also leads the Brewers with a .268 ISO against lefties since 2017. If that wasn’t enough to convince you, Braun also has a career .444 AVG (8-for-18) with three doubles against Lester.

Eric Thames, MIL (@ CHC) - $3,900

The final piece of the puzzle comes from the Brewers, as well. Thames has the fourth-best ISO on Milwaukee (.208). He’s currently riding a cold streak, so he might get benched. However, if he’s in the lineup, this boom-or-bust option could be worth the risk with one swing of the bat.
