DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/25/20) - MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/25/20. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We head into Tuesday night with a nice 10 game slate on tap. There is a nice mix of pitching and bats to attack tonight. There is no Coors in play tonight which is always nice, but there are some other definite spots to attack for bats.

When looking at the slate there are a few main targets on the mound. At the top, you have Shane Bieber, Gerrit Cole, and maybe even a low owned Lucas Giolito. All three in strong spots and could put up big DK nights. After the top targets, it is all about finding the mid-tier and punt targets on the mound. When it comes to bats I don't need to tell you the Dodgers and White Sox have been white-hot, but I will point out the main bats to attack in your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/25/2020. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Shane Bieber - P, CLE vs MIN ($10,800)

It's Shane Bieber day again!!!! Tonight it will not be as easy for many to click the autoplay that is Bieber since he is facing the Twins, but that will not stop me. Bieber has been an absolute machine. He may give up a few runs but the strikeouts will be there to help offset the damage, it's not like he's priced at $12,000. It is only $10,800, don't overthink this choice. Biber has a 43.4% strikeout percentage this season, a .175 batting average against, and 1.52 xFIP. He already faced the Twins once this season, throwing eight shutout innings with 13 strikeouts. Plugin Bieber and move along. If he stinks, so be it, but he is the best pitcher in baseball, at a great price, and likely low ownership.

Lucas Giolito - P, CWS vs PIT ($9,700)

There are a few pivots of Bieber if you are not feeling like playing the best pitcher in baseball. Lucas Giolito is one of them. Giolito has had some rough starts this season but bounced back nicely his last time out with seven shutout innings with 13 strikeouts vs the Tigers. Tonight he faces the Pirates an offense we love to attack. The Pirates are striking out 24.7% of the time with a .210 average and .116 ISO vs RHP this season. Giolito is a very strong play tonight that could be overlooked priced near Bieber and Cole.

Other Options: Gerrit Cole (NYY at ATL) $10,600, Adam Wainwright (STL vs KC) $8,400, German Marquez (COL at AZ) $8,000, Chris Paddack (SD vs SEA) $7,800

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Luke Voit - 1B, NYY at Ian Anderson ($4,400)

The Yankees are back and have a nice matchup vs the young arm of Anderson. Before their little COVID vacation they were swinging strong bats and Voit was a big part of that. Voit is riding a 10 game hitting streak where he is hitting .405 with a .514 ISO. He has also homered in four straight games, for five home runs. He is barreling the ball 25% of the time with an insane hard-hit rate close to 54%. Voit is locked in and even hits RHP very well with a .206 ISO in 2019.

Other Options: Cody Bellinger (LAD at SF) $5,700, Jose Abreu (CWS vs PIT) $5,000, Hunter Dozier (KC at STL) $3,900, Ty France (SD vs SEA) $3,400

Kolten Wong - 2B, STL vs Matt Harvey  ($3,300)

This is a combination of value, leading off and facing Matt Harvey. It does not hurt that Wong is riding a seven-game hitting streak into tonight's action where he is hitting .360 0ver that stretch. He has also added two steals and is walking close to 13% of the time during those seven games, good for a .467 OBP. He is getting on base in many different ways and setting the table for the mashers. That could be huge in a game vs Harvey and the Royals bullpen.

Other Options: Mike Moustakas (CIN at MIL) $5,100, Wilmer Flores (SF vs LAD) $4,300, Nick Madrigal (CWS vs PIT) $2,900

Manny Machado - 3B, SD at Marco Gonzales  ($4,800)

There are not many hitters hotter than Machado in baseball these days. He is riding a six-game hitting streak into tonight where he is hitting .478 with a .522 ISO and six extra-base hits. On the season he is barreling the ball 25% of the time with a very strong 50% hard-hit rate. Last year he hit .315 with a .370 ISO vs LHP and faces Gonzales tonight. Yes, Marco has shown some reverse splits in his career, but give me the red hot Machado to stay hot in Seattle tonight.

Other Options: Matt Chapman (OAK at TEX) $5,300, Nolan Arenado (COL at AZ) $4,900, Kyle Seager (SEA at SD) $3,800, Willie Castro (DET vs CHC) $3,100, Isaac Paredes (DET vs CHC) $2,000

Trevor Story - SS, COL at Alex Young ($5,200)

The shortstop position is extremely top-heavy tonight and will likely require paying up. Story is a strong option and will be overlooked with Tatis and Anderson ahead of him. Story homered last night, giving him home runs in back to back games. He has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games for a .319 average and 12 extra-base hits. He has always hit LHP well in his career and faces Young tonight who allowed 1.7 HR/9 to RHP last season. The roof should be open in Arizona tonight and Story should be in store for another strong evening.

Other Options: Fernando Tatis Jr. (SD vs SEA) $5,600, Tim Anderson (CWS vs PIT) $5,400, Corey Seager (LAD at SF) $5,000, Javy Baez (CHC at DET) $4,600

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Eloy Jimenez - OF, CWS vs Steven Brault ($4,900)

I wanted to write up so many White Sox, but you will get the drift after listening to MLB DFS Quick Hits. They are a strong play and Jimenez is apart of that. Over his last 13 games, he is hitting .385 with six home runs and a .385 ISO. He is crushing it but is usually overlooked with Anderson, Abreu, and even Lou Bob around him. He'll be facing Brault who he can definitely take advantage of and is in line for another big night.

Nick Solak - OF, TEX vs Sean Manaea ($3,800)

Solak has been up and down this season, but tonight is a night to definitely be on him and his teammates. We have been attacking Manaea all season and it has ended up quite well. It does not hurt that Solak hits LHP well. Last season he hit .319 with a .340 ISO. He brings his near 41% hard-hit rate into tonight's action and brings a nice value to your DK lineups. He is decent cash gameplay and a nice piece of a stack with Joey Gallo and others.

Sam Haggerty - OF, SEA at Chris Paddack ($3,000)

Haggerty brings some nice value to your lineups tonight. Sure Paddack has been good, but he also has a tendency to give up the long ball throughout his starts. Haggerty has been a stat stuffer to start his season. He has hit safely in all five games he has played. Over those five games, he has three extra-base hits and has even thrown in two stolen bases. He has scored at least five DK points in each game and at least eight or more in four of his last five games. I am not going all-in on Seattle tonight but a Haggerty and Seager stack could be fun in your GPPs.

Other Options: Whit Merrifield (KC at STL) $5,300, Joey Gallo (TEX vs OAK) $4,800, Louis Robert (CWS vs PIT) $4,500, Kyle Schwarber (CHC at DET) $4,100, Jorge Soler (KC at STL) $4,100, Jesse Winker (CIN at MIL) $4,000, Ian Happ (CHC at DET) $4,000, Robbie Grossman (OAK at TEX) $3,900, Mike Tauchman (NYY at ATL) $3,600, Jordan Luplow (CLE vs MIN) $3,400, Wil Myers (SD vs SEA) $3,400, Dylan Carlson (STL vs KC) $2,700, Jason Heyward (CHC at DET) $2,400, many many more
