Davante Adams fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Davante Adams in your fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: While Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams could be heading for another disappointing season, his managers don't have much choice but to start him. He's still a highly skilled receiver despite being in a terrible situation for fantasy scoring.

Sign Up Now!Adams isn't far removed from his stellar 2022 season, where he finished as the WR3 overall with 335.5 PPR fantasy points and regularly dominated opposing defenses. That was with former QB Derek Carr, though. Current Raiders QBs Gardner Minshew II and Aidan O'Connell (should he play at some point) are a huge downgrade.

We know Adams is a great receiver. He still has a high-level ability to get open. Unfortunately, in the NFL, you need at least a decent QB to pair with a great WR to produce great fantasy results, and that just isn't happening. Adams has a nice PPR floor when he gets enough targets, though.
At the spot he was drafted, you don't have much choice but to start him. Big games might be tough to come by, and Adams only receiving six targets is criminal, but he's still a great receiver.
