BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 45% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Hear me out, and hear me well: this is the last time you'll have a chance to get some Darnell Mooney shares and roster him in your fantasy squads before he crosses the 50-percent rostership and gets into some fantasy GM team. It is what it is. Makes sense. Oh, and Justin Fields (whether that is because of his own talents or because Andy Dalton got banged up) is now the Bears quarterback-in-command.
Chicago could opt to address the quarterback woes once for all by leaving Dalton on the sidelines taking advantage of his W2 injury-related exit. Fields didn't shock the world with his 6-of-13 completions for 60 yards and an INT, but he'll get there. Trust the Process. That's applicable for you, and for WR Darnell Mooney, he of the WR2 role in a barren of talent Bears receiving corps. Mooney didn't do much in Week 1 although he had enough chances to rack up numbers (7 targets, 5 receptions, only 26 yards), but he improved in his second time out with an 8-6-66 healthier line against Cincy this Sunday.
Mooney has yet to get the rock past the goal line, something he did four times over 16 games last season, but time will fix that for the second-year receiver. Allen Robinson is going to stay at the top of the pecking order in Chicago, but he's been rather disappointing so far topping at 10.4 PPR points this past weekend while not even reaching double digits in W1. Mooney's gone for 7.6 and 12.6 PPR points in his two outings, nothing incredible but promising enough considering his 15 targets over this two-game span with good catch rates but a lack of yardage to go with it. Mooney's true-talent level is that of a weekly FLEX with upside for more, and we're this close to Justin Fields starting games and boosting all Bears' upsides for fantasy purposes.
