NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2025 Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Darlington Raceway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Goodyear 400 on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-car field was split in to two groups for practice, with each group getting 25 minutes on track.

Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.

 

 

Important Practice Notes

John Hunter Nemechek - About halfway through the first group's session, John Hunter Nemechek lost control of his No. 42 Toyota and spun out, bringing out the caution. This wasn't ideal for the teams in this group, as it ruined their long-run data with the stoppage.

Joey Logano - The No. 22 Ford was slower than expected in practice. The broadcast mentioned that the team was focused on the long run more than short-run speed, but it was still quite surprising to see Logano that far down on the speed chart.

Austin Hill - Austin Hill is racing the Cup Series race this weekend in addition to the Xfinity Series race. He will be in the No. 33 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. Hill made four starts in this car last season and had an average finish of 31.8.
