BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Even without a single touchdown to his name for 2020, just when Danny Amendola lulls you to sleep, he reels you right back in with his time-tested reliability, even if the 35-year-old is no longer suiting up for a winning team. The Detroit Lions passing game has kept many a mouth modestly fed, evidenced by the fact that seven Lions have accumulated 128 receiving yards or more, and after a Week Six outing against the Jaguars where Amendola caught just two passes out of his only two targets for 31 yards, seeing the field for a season-low 27 offensive snaps (35%), plenty of folks were ready to abandon ship.
That has proven premature to this point though, as the 12-year NFL vet has bounced back big in the three weeks since, catching 13 passes out of 18 targets, good for 193 yards receiving. Not only that, but the Lions got a bit more creative in their use of Amendola, giving him his first hand-off of the campaign (which he took for two yards), and he saw the field for a combined 89 snaps on offense over the past two contests. He is tied for third on the team in receptions (25), tied for second on the team in targets (41), but he comes out on top in the category of receiving yards (401) in spite of his previous categorical placements. Of Detroit's top seven pass-catchers, only Danny Amendola and Quintez Cephus have yet to reach the end zone, so if you are willing to bet that he won't be kept from scoring much longer, the volume of work is definitely there to make Amendola a worthy roster addition.
