Dallas Goedert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Dallas Goedert for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has been a solid TE1 option for fantasy managers over the past few years. Despite finishing as the TE14 in PPR formats last year, his 9.7 PPR fantasy points per game ranked 12th at the position. So, Goedert should remain a low-end TE1 option again this season.

GAIN ACCESSIn Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, he should be started in most 12-plus team leagues. The Packers allowed the 10th-most PPR fantasy points to opposing tight ends last year and the 13th-most receiving yards (868). That makes Goedert a solid start this week.
There's been a lot of talk about Kellen Moore's use of motion and how much of it will travel over to the #Eagles this fall
This has long been a strength of the offenses he's led. I expect that to be the case here with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert all benefiting pic.twitter.com/OdIvz3hI5C

While Goedert won't have a high fantasy ceiling in Week 1 due to A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley's presence in Philadelphia's offense, the veteran tight end should have a solid floor to open the season. He caught at least four passes in 10 of 14 games in 2023. You should lock in the 29-year-old as your TE1 this week.
