Arizona Cardinals - NFL Betting Analysis

The Cardinals are coming off a season in which they finished with an overall record of just 4-13. In the NFC-West, Arizona was 4th and went 1-5 against division opponents. At home, the Cardinals finished 1-8 while going 3-5 on the road.

Joshua Dobbs comes over to the Cardinals after playing for the Titans last season. In the 2022-2023 season, he finished with a passer rating of 73.8 and threw for 411 yards in two games. Dobbs' touchdown to interception ratio for the season was 2/2. In 2022, the Cardinals offense finished 25th in the NFL in third-down conversion rate (35.2%) and averaged 323.5 yards per game, putting them 4th in the league. On average, they threw the ball 39.1 times per game leading to 213.3 receiving yards per contest. Arizona's rushing attack finished 17th in yards per attempt.

When looking at how the Cardinals' defense performed on 3rd down last season, they were 26th in the NFL with opponents converting 42.9% of their 3rd down attempts. Arizona finished the season 9th in turnovers and allowed an average of 26.4, putting them 29th in the NFL.

Washington Commanders - NFL Betting Analysis

In the passing game, Washington ranked 19th in passing attempts and 21st in passing yards. Their ground game saw the Commanders average 126.1 yards per contest (12th).

The Commanders are coming off a season in which they were 8th in points allowed. Opposing team's finished the year with an average of 20.2 points per game vs. the Commanders defense. Washington's run defense wrapped up the season 11th in the NFL, while opponents finished with a completion percentage of 59.9% vs. the Commanders and a passer rating of 87.95.

Looking back to last season, the average over/under line for the Commanders was 41.9 points leading to an over/under record of 5-12 for the Commanders. Against the spread, Washington was 8-8-1 with an average scoring margin of -1.3 point pere game.
