In his debut with Los Angeles, Parkinson tied his career-best mark for receiving yards (47) and secured the second-most receptions in one game (four). He ran a route on 82% of the Rams' passing plays.

That's exactly what fantasy managers seek in a bleak tight-end landscape: Clear involvement in the passing game with the chance to score. Parkinson was the TE7 in Week 1. With a touchdown, he would have been the TE2.
Matthew Stafford led quarterbacks in pass attempts in Week 1. That number should decline in Week 2 against Arizona. The Cardinals aren't as stout against the run as the Lions. Still, the Cardinals have weak spots all over their defense that the 6'7" Parkinson can exploit. Plus, Davis Allen, the second-string tight end, will be inactive with a back injury. Parkinson is a safe-floor tight end that can be considered a starter in most leagues.
