Carson Steele fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Carson Steele for fantasy football lineups?

POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Carson Steele was deployed as the starting running back in Week 3 after Isiah Pacheco (fibula) was placed on the IR. In this game Steele logged a team-high 46 snaps and saw 19 total touches which suggested he had strong grip on starting duties.
However, last weekend, Kareem Hunt was elevated to the active roster and led the Kansas City backfield with 14 carries, compared to Steele's two. Hunt ran for 69 yards on the ground, while Steele tallied just six yards.
The UCLA product will be hard to trust for the time being as it looks like the Hunt will continue to serve as the RB1 in Kansas City while Pacheco remains sidelined.

As a result, Steele should be viewed as a desperation flex play in DFS formats this evening and should be kept out of all redraft lineups.
