Bristol NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Kyle Busch - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2024 Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday evening in preparation for the upcoming Food City 500 on Sunday afternoon.

The 36-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.

Group B was noticeably slower than Group A when it came to practice speeds because of track conditions.

Important Practice Notes

Ty Gibbs - At the start of practice for Group B, Ty Gibbs scraped the wall pretty good. He returned to the track ten minutes later and said, "Something is totally dead in this thing. I can't even make a corner." The No. 54 team didn't have to go to a backup car, but during qualifying, it was noted that if something still felt off with the car that the team would make even more repairs. If this happens (nothing confirmed as of this posting) then Gibbs would have to drop to the rear of the field at the start of the race on Sunday.

Ryan Blaney - The No. 12 Penske Racing Ford had a ton of speed in this practice session. In addition to having the fastest single lap time, Blaney had the best 10-, 15-, 20, and 25- lap average during practice.
