Braelon Allen fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 6 (2024). Should you start or sit Braelon Allen for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Borderline RB3
ANALYSIS: New York Jets running back Braelon Allen has flashed a tantalizing set of skills, becoming an excellent complement to lead back Breece Hall and beating his efficiency by a good margin. Allen has averaged 4.7 yards per carry on the season to Hall's 3.0.
With that said, the Jets will face the Buffalo Bills, who are the worst defense vs running backs this season. They've allowed 5.2 yards per rush attempt to opposing players and were absolutely demolished by Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry in Week 4.
Look at the end of this run and how small every Bills player looks trying to chase down Derrick Henry. Not sure how he is real. pic.twitter.com/O0luUP1DJX

Buffalo routinely blows assignments against the run and keeps getting gashed for it. It's been a problem for years, and the Jets will have a chance to exploit it. Good thing for Buffalo that New York's offense is in disarray after being terrible this season and demoting their offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett by stripping his playcalling duties.
There's not much to like about the Jets offense, but if there's any week the run game has a chance of getting right, it's this one. Allen's volume remains to be determined, but if his team can implement a run-heavy gameplan, that could mean significant touches for him, because the team prefers to limit Hall's touches to around 20 to preserve his health.
Allen is worth a start in deep leagues.
