Allen Lazard fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Allen Lazard for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 16+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR57
ANALYSIS: New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard was a complete fantasy football afterthought entering the 2024 season. Many didn’t have him in their preseason rankings, while others cut the veteran from their dynasty teams. However, the former Iowa State star shined in the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Lazard was the WR3, scoring 23.9 half-point PPR fantasy points. The veteran wide receiver had six receptions on nine targets for 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was second on the team in targets behind Garrett Wilson (11).

While Lazard had a massive opening-week performance, he lucked out with two touchdowns. The first came on a free play because of a defensive penalty. The second touchdown came with Tyrod Taylor in the game after the Jets had pulled Rodgers in the blowout loss.
Fantasy players shouldn’t expect a repeat performance from Lazard in Week 2. Without the two touchdowns, the veteran would have scored 11.9 fantasy points. More importantly, Rodgers should have better luck connecting with Wilson against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday than he did against the 49ers in Week 1.
